EU RoHS exemption sunset schedule
The largest material compliance event since the original RoHS directive — 21 exemptions expiring through 2027
6(a) and 6(b)-I (for categories 1-7, 10) expire on December 11, 2026 — less than a year away. Parts using lead in steel or aluminium alloys must be re-evaluated now.
Suppliers using these exemptions must re-declare under new exemption codes before the expiry dates. Send your supplier declarations to identify affected materials and track transition status.
Declaring lead in glass or ceramic under REACH as well? Are lead oxide and diboron trioxide in ceramics reportable under REACH Article 33?
Send your supplier declarations to instantly identify materials declaring expiring exemptions.
